    Do-It-Yourself Bed Bug Control Tips

    1. Common places bed bugs like to hide:

• Mattresses (along edges of tufts, folds and seams)
• Box springs (inside cavity and along edges)
• Bed frames and headboards
• Baseboard areas
• Couches and chairs
• Nightstands and dressers (remove drawers and inspect the underside of drawers and inside dresser cavity)
• Walls and ceilings
• Picture frames (look behind frames hanging on the walls)
• Electrical outlets (remove plastic cover to access wall void)

   
    2. Put all bedding, clothing and even stuffed animals from
        affected rooms in the dryer and run on high heat for at least
        20 minutes.

    3. Install covers on all mattresses and box springs.
