Scorpion Chronicles: 13 days later...5/13/2015 13 days later, momma and baby scorpions have become our resident pets as we watch to see how long it takes for babies to become independent. The babies are now fully formed and recognizable as scorpions, where as before they just looked like plump white maggots. They are starting to venture out on their own. It seems like momma got hungry and snacked on a few at some point, unsure if any of the babies turned on each other?

Cool Weather!11/14/2014 It's November in Arizona and we all know what that means, the start of cooler weather! Our days are still pretty warm but our nights are starting to cool off quite a bit and these are good conditions for termites and certain weeds to thrive. The warm weather of the summer and plenty of rain this monsoon season were the perfect combination for termite colonies to grow and expand and now the newly organized colonies will be looking for food to continue to establish themselves. Be on the lookout around your property for mud tubes, typically about the width of a pencil, that snake from the ground up the stem wall, if you see any of these you will want to schedule an inspection so you can find out what treatment options are available to eliminate the termites and protect your home from future invasion. Occasionally the termites find cracks in the foundation and are able to enter a wall undetected until they end up eating through the drywall at which time they may start building mud tubes right out of the wall or ceiling! The owners of Bugs, Weeds, and More have about 35 years of experience in the pest control industry including, working as licensed pest control applicators for various pest control companies, working in various retail environments, owning and operating multiple pest control companies, and owning and operating multiple do-it-yourself pesticide retail store locations. Through these experiences they have seen "the good, the bad, and the ugly" side of the industry.
